Shocks Shocker

Featured Replies

I got some FSDs from someone on here and yesterday I took them to be fitted.

Went to the garage at 5pm to pick car up and all seemed to be well, they were just putting away the wheel alignment equipment. So I paid and off I went.

Drove about 100yds down the road to the supermarket and the rear of the car was making a horrible clanking noise like someone shaking a bag of tin cans. I had a look under the car and this is what I found ( see attached picture)

Who can spot what's wrong? No prizes though as it's quite obvious!

What garage?

Name and shame!

Looks like they were rushing and forgot to tighten it.

 Someone wants their pansy potters!!!

They could have renewed the nut while they were there!

I hesitate to name and shame since they've done good stuff before and I hope this was a one off mistake caused by rushing.

They'll be getting my opinion later

Mine was making the same rubbery clanky noise after I removed and refitted my rear springs.

It wasn't like that, but wasnt quite tight enough so there was some play making the noise, so nipped it up and all is well.

I believe the nuts are self-locking M10, if you want to renew them. They sell them in BNQ.

You need a 17mm spanner I believe for the nut, not sure on the bolt head.

Yikes! Surely they should have done a road test and noticed it then?!?!

They could have renewed the nut while they were there!

I was just thinking the very same thing!

thats why they put rubbers at the top of pencils...
