i want to know if MKII Octavia (2007 model) rubber floor mats will fit the new FL Octavia(2009 model)?? anyone knows if they will fit fine?? thanks..

Dug up this thread looking for an answer to the same question...and it is yes - MK5 Golf mats fit the Octavia 2 perfectly, front and rear.

The only proviso is that the Golf front mats have holes for clips in them, and the Octy doesn't have the clips. However as these are near the back of the mat it's not really an issue - they certainly look better than the 'universal' mats I had which are far from universal - especially in the Octy's somwehat unusually shaped drivers footwell. A cunning combination of vouchers just scored a set of 'Autocare' tailored Golf mats from Tesco for under £15 - added bonus is that they are exactly the same shade of black (anthracite?) as my Octy's carpet.

If you search Ebay for Golf MK5 mats you will find dozens of sets for under £20.

I bought mine from these and they were a perfect fit

My FL Octy has the clips for the mats, but only in the front. The rear mats have holes for the clips, but you need to fit the rear clips yourself (clips are supplied with the mats if you buy the OEM ones). The rear mats don't really move around so no need for clips IMHO.
