latest fw for rns 510/columbus 2660/2666/2662/2668/2664

I've just reset to factory defaults and am re-loading 2664 AGAIN!! Then we'll try a downgrade again and see if we can make the downgrade fail.

If that doesn't work, I'm going to hack that file, make it skip everything but the final stage, after the gateway update.

If it's like the SDS I have in the Audi you need to re-route the mic for the BT via the Columbus, you'll also need a MFSW to activate the voice mode.

If you can get it working it's awesome.

i have some trouble with the navigation after the update……

normally, even when parked in my garage, i see my position, but now it keeps saying off-road…….

when driving about 1 or 2 kilometers it finds the right position, so no problem but i want to know how come???

It started by a position in Germany…..

do you know??

Do you happen to have any connection info on this? Once it do the update (probally on Monday, as I must have a working system on Sunday!) I'd love to get voice control working too....

For the SDS mod on my car I had to route a cable from the microphone to the RNS-E and then on to the BT unit. For me (because my phone was factory fit) I used a 4 core screened cable from the microphone to the RNS-E and then back to the microphone in the headlining, then using OEM plugs I connected 2 cores of the 4 core (the 2 to the RNS-E) to the microphone and the other 2 cores (the 2 from the RNS-E) to the cable that runs back to the BT unit.

I bought the cable from Maplin and I have the numbers for the plugs you'll need if you want to try it.

Thanks Stu. Given I have no BT system, I'm guessing this isn't going to work at all... Does the voice control simply refer to phone voice controls or can it say change the funcstion of the RNS fro say radio to map etc? MWSF?

The list of commands is quite comprehensive. I couldn't begin to mention them all, but for instance you can switch between radio/phone/cd etc, you can change radio station by saying the name of the station, you can enter a destination by voice, or pick a saved destination, turn the map on or off, zoom the map in or out and lots more. By speaking 'help' it will give you a full run down of available commands.
