Just got back from late night shopping at tesco, and someone has pushed a trolley with some force into my rear passenger door on my silver vrs,

result = nice big dent , flaking paint and down to the metal, went back into tesco to ask about cctv only to be told they dont record at the front of the store, the cameras are there for live view only,

i'm seething at the moment,

i guess i'm looking at a bill of £250 easy,

anyone else have any rough cost on price, dent will need to be pulled, and full door spray and flashing in etc etc etc

I know the feeling. A customer of ours put a footlong scratch along my bonnet when he was moving hardware and because we didn't have CCTV covering my car I can't prove it was him. Really do feel for you :rotz:

Might be worth considering looking at some of the "breaking" ads on Ebay. Often they have complete doors there for around £100, sometimes less. A complete swap might end up being less work than the repairs to the existing door.

A trolley went into my car at Tesco. I complained and a damage report was sent off to head office. I did get a letter back telling me they were taking no responsibility and there was someone on shift collecting trolleys that night. I worked for tesco 7 years ago on customer service and I think (but can't be sure) that it's a requirement that they have someone collecting the trolleys, at least at certain times of the day.

It's worth speaking to the duty manager and getting them to file a damage report.

Been see a body shop, they say i dont need the whole side spraying, just above the bum strips, they will loose it half way into the passenger front door and then lose it into the quarter pannel from the rear door, :rotz:

Wow that looks nasty ,some people have no respect for other peoples property ,have had car park dings in the past and it don't half pee you off ,hope they get theirs see how they like it.

That's gutting, no wonder I park at the furthest area of the car park and take up two spaces.

How much did they quote you?

quoted £250 at a place where i had a full respray and lots of work done on me old car but they have gone poo for repairs, the other place i am going to take it where the wife had some amazing work done, i feel are going to be £450+ cause they quoted £150 on top of the same place where i had the £250 quote from

when i came out i was tempted to smash the life out of the car next to me but i thought that wouldnt be fair as it might not have been them, nice guys finish last again eh?

I had one of my old Fiesta's on display at a Car Show

Went for a walk with my mates had a good laugh and enjoyed the show. Returned to my car about an hour later to discover someone had keyed my front wing! This was August and it'd only had a front end respray in June! Was raging!

My dad had his 730D Parked in Asda car park whilst shopping. Came back out to find a dent and paint off on the drivers rear door!

I hate people who don't watch what they're doing or just throw trolleys away after they're done! Also hate jealous people who damage cars for fun

know how you feel. fairly cheap fix compared to mine and mine wasn't much bigger, but the inside of the door (the main structure bit) was slightly bent and i needed a new door. Total was £1200 with new door and full side respray :(

I had my front wing "booted" recently cost £350 for new wing and paint.....so know the feeling

Do the fabia door skins come off like the golf....an easy swap if they do.
