10% Freedom discount on Stage 1 remaps at Shark Performance!

Featured Replies

I'm pleased to announce that as of 1st September I am offering a 10% discount to Freedom members on all Stage 1 remaps! What better reason to support your favourite Skoda site than that?! This is a long term offer and has no expiration date!

Some example prices are:

Fabia vRS TDI: £224.10 inc VAT

Octavia vRS 1.8T: £269.10 inc VAT

Octavia vRS 2.0TDi PD: £314.10 inc VAT

Octavia vRS 2.0TFSi: £359.10 inc VAT

Octavia vRS 2.0TSi: £449.10 inc VAT

Octavia vRS 2.0TDi CR: £449.10 inc VAT

Fabia vRS 1.4TSI: £449.10 inc VAT

STS modules can be added to any of these, except for the CR TDi and 1.4TSI Fabia VRS at the moment, for an additional £150.

Please note that these prices are only available to Freedom members who have an active membership at the time of booking. Prices updated 18/10/2011.

Even better value from Shark Performance!

  • The map costs £249, so with your Freedom discount it's £224.10 all in!

  • What would the price be for a Seat Leon Cupra including the STS?

What would the price be for a Seat Leon Cupra including the STS?

£549 at an educated guess :p

Errrr, constructive replies only please!! :dull: someone obviously didn't read the topic title :p

I wasn't sure if the 'briskoda freedom' discount applied to a non-Skoda remap, anyway if it does it would be more like 500 quid! :moon:

Thank you Ben,

It would be the mk2 Cupra or maybe looking at a ED30 Golf but if swmbo gets her way it will be the mk2 Leon FR oil burner.

tell your missus there have been alot of ssues with guys in the diesel Fr's, but the cupras are bomb proof and get excellent MPG. :giggle:

:rofl::rofl:

I think I may of cracked it with her, we currently have 4 searches saved on Autotrader, for the following; Seat FR, Cupra, Golf Gti and Ed30, so I've got a 75% chance of getting something I actually want, I do have to consider that this will technically be her car although I will drive it most!

Whilst on the subject, I thought the Ed30 and the Cupra shared identical engines, turbos etc, but I'm a bit confused as to why the Golf is 227bhp and the Seat 240, however the figures provided on the Shark website show the stage 1 map for each gives the Golf 300 bhp with Leon achieving 285?!

i believe they are identical engines with differnt ECUs. the Ed30s tune to the exact same amount as the cupra's as well. the only k04 with a difference is the S3 which gets the uprated IC and different cams.

This is where I got the info;

Cupra

Ed30

I hope its right, 300bhp for 500 quid..................happy days! :D

its all dependant on the rollers, guys have made 315 on some rollers off stage 1 only to go on JKMs and make 280Hp with no changes.

k04 wise stage 1 you will be looking 280-300Hp, stage 2, 290-330Hp, stage 2+/3 and your looking at 330hp upto 360hp.

for instance the REVO stage 2+ car at AMDs RRday the other week, only made 325 on their rollers, same as he did on JKMs. before they had it recalibrated stage2 guys were making 360Hp there. either way, a £500 stage 1 map on a k04 will yield a faster car than a k03 stage 2+ with £2500 of mods

Bu**er !

I should have read this before I made an impulse purchase with Ben this morning !

Freedom since last year & I never thought to ask Ben today.

The maps great, but would be even better with 10% off !

:'(

Our pricing structure has changed slightly and so the examples aren't necessarily correct. I will edit to reflect the new pricing scheme

I realise the original post was in 09 but has been updated for today's prices.

I emailed the company the other day and Cheryl promptly replied that the new Fabia 1.4 vrs was not compatible with the sts unit but the tread indicates otherwise, possibly different fabia vrs model though.

Could someone clarify please. Probably just me being thick!

Many thanks

Am sure one of the team will be along shortly, but when I was there on Friday there were a couple of mk2 fabia vRSs in (both belonging to Brisky members) and they were saying due to new protection the ECUs have to be physically removed from the cars for remapping (involving an angle grinder!), so they can't be done through the odbc(?) port, hence you can't use the STS system.

This post was made before the Fabia II VRS existed, so I will update it to clarify!

The STS does not work with the Fabia II VRS as the ECU is protected and needs to be removed to be reflashed.

Regards

Thought that was the case. Thanks for clarifying it.
