Good grief, I thought my car ads. were bad......

Oh my god, do they not realise how stupid they appear from writing an ad like that. And look at the background in the pics. Looks like a gypsy scrappers type setup.

It's a wonder if anybody ever buys cars that are advertised like that.

Ye gods! Just goes to show how the vRS really is like haemorrhoids...

it must be the same seller still as these are the same pictures used the last time it was up for sale.

Perhaps why the mileage isn't on the ad then ! :(

Could just be a REALLY lazy seller.

Hasn't this thing done a million miles or something, I'm sure the Briskoda Fraud Squad noticed some mileage discrepancies last time it was advertised ;)

The car in its current form IIRC is not as it left Jabba, if you read some of the previous threads about this car you will see what I mean. I believe between Jabba selling it and it reappearing, it had shed quiet a few 000 miles from the clock and had the turbo replaced with one that the map was not intended for without the car being remapped again.

I bet he wished he hadn't "baught" it as he can find his "spek" sheet. Hahaha class.

You'd have thought a nice scenic picture with plenty of shots and a clean car.....

Anyone interested lol

Skoda : fabia vrs tdi in red been played with !

Wonder what the mileage sits at now after the past few threads relating to it.

Nice spelling and grammar on the ad too.

What a 9enis! Its amazing people like that even have the intelligence to drive. I actually feel sorry for the car

It's always a shame to see this car...

Propper mullered.. ("New Front Mount") Old one was a full Front mount that filled the cut out at the front, now you cant even see it lol.

Such a shame..

Kev

Grammer that poor must put everyone off!

Those black headlights do look good though; does anyone know if they were custom made or available to buy? (apologies if this has been covered before, I had a quick search that didn't come up with much...)

I think the poor car has got its' eyes closed with the shame.......

Should really be put to sleep !

For the best really. ;)

Tempted to present the guy with a few facts about the car - I still have the old magazine it was featured in with luke. See if I could get the price down.

I'm sure I could put the car back to it's old state. :D

The question I'm stuck on is - What else have they done to the car that I don't know about. :o It's a huge risk.

At that price it's a huge risk, at least, if all the history was known, and at a better price, it would still be a decent car, it cant have deteriorated that badly in such a short time ( you would hope)

If the car has been put back on the clock - Would it be possible to put it to the correct (ish) miles?

If the car has been put back on the clock - Would it be possible to put it to the correct (ish) miles?

possibly, on some ECUs I believe the correct mileage will be stored on the ECU so it maybe possible to read and reprogram the correct mileage.

I'd go an view the car, take vag com with you and read the mileage out of the ecu. must be around 120k by now..

They are. But this one is worse ;)

Such a shame seeing it like that. Remember seeing at Jabba a few years ago - was an awesome bit of kit then :(

Steve

In all honesty he's having a giraffe at that price.... 120k+ miles probaly... ragged to death... crappy intercooler... god knows the turbo...

i dont even think i'd buy it for £3,500
