R36 stolen - eyes peeled in Manchester please

Featured Replies

It can't do any harm posting threads like this up. You can also clearly see from the thread title what it's about. So if you don't think you can help, don't read the thread :)

That's a fair point. Even if only one car in million gets found this way, it's still helped someone! :)

I can't understand why some people are getting a bee in the bonnet about this.

What harm will it do to have a quick read, note the Registration No. and if you see an R36 Passat (You certainly aint going to mistake it for a different car) then check the reg to see if it is the Car in question.

Some people need to find better things to do with their time if all the worries they have are about the threads people post on here

As Steve has said read the title and if your not interested don't read or don't post

Whilst i agree with most of the comments above for this type of thread, it is turning into a hate thread towards one person.

Lets try to keep iy on topic before its get closed or deleted ;)

Any more news about the car??

Just phoned Meadowhall security up, see if there was any news, and the woman on reception said the guys who were working yesterday work 4 on 4 off and won't be in until Thursday, so call back then...in other words they don't give a t0ss

I'm not sure what to do now tbh, can someone maybe let the owner know? He could possibly tell the police of a suspected sighting and they could watch the car park CCTV from Sunday morning?

I don't really know what else to do, I still feel 90% sure it was that car

Cheers

Damian

Good on ya Damo. Only problem is that it's likely that was originally a VW press/fleet car, and often they're registered in blocks so will have very similar/virtually identical reg plates on them.

It's certainly worth looking into more closely though, given the rarity of these.

I have posted on the relevant forum for the attention of the owners mate.

I will get back to you Damo when I hear something. :)

He does say thanks for your efforts so far.

Maybe it was a similar plate, and just a coincidence I spot my first ever R36 on the same day I read this thread, it is possible I guess.

Anyway, best of luck to the poor sod who's lost his pride and joy

Cheers

Absolutely agree with this - There have been a few sightings of this car around the Salford area in the last few days.

I can also confirm that the R36 is significantly quicker than a 3.2 Audi A3 :(

If it's still in the country and out and about I don't get why it hasn't been recovered yet given if it's got a tracker.

It hasn't got a tracker!

D'oh, I thought it had.

You need some more firepower then

How are the GMP coffers looking at the moment? :D

Steve

Couple of Audi S3's due any time, which seemed very good when we had one on test.

No, no, no!

You need NOS! Two of the big ones! And you need them by tonight!

..and remember to double declutch :)

Yeah, cut-out that granny-shifting!

Good to hear - sounds like a sensible all-year round tractable solution :D

I'll keep my eye out
