Think CAR!!

So lane one of the slip now cuts the 2 lanes heading north on the A2030?

If the RB is a notorious accident point, as locals claim, then either the RB doesnot adhere to HWC, and/or the line markings are simply wrong/confusing.

As I say, try following the lanes on the heathrow RB as I posted and see how long it takes to crash. I was following the lines wont cut it with insurance firms, who would quite rightly IMO, point to the HWC on roundabout use.

Have to disagree, if the lines are marked then they should be followed, HWC followed if lanes not marked. In additiion as the OP stayed in lane and the bike joined the lane hitting him its a clear fault.

Get photographs of the damage to your car, the point of impact and the road markings for the lanes you were in.

Regardless of you being in the left lane, the guy pulled across the outer lane of the roundabout into your vehicle so I can't see how that it could be 100% fault against you as even if you failed to do something in the highway code, so did they.

Hope you've got witnesses and good luck

Ok, I'm now confused.

Qu for the OP - Is the entrance to the roundabout that they used signposted to indicate that you may use the 3rd exit from the LH lane?

Thanks Ken... thanks for not reading the rest of the thread.

I love these threads, no offence to the OP or anyone else, but whats the point :) it's in the hands of the insurance companies and now it's up to them and their respective legal teams to bleed cash away from one another. What difference does it make what we think? you can't go to the insurance company and say ..... listen here, Briskoda says I was right / wrong (delete as necessary)

Not having a dig, it's just how I see it ;)

It's a community forum; it's what its designed for! While you are correct that we will have no bearing on the final outcome, it has produced almost 4 pages of constructive criticism, views, beliefs and feedback.

If we can't come here to air our gripes, ask/offer advice etc, then the question stands: 'What is the point' ;)

Not the only one Ken. The description of the roundabout seems to differ as time goes on.

Reading post 1, OP was in LH lane to take 3rd exit. Yet OP appears to be suggesting exit 1 had been passed and he was at lights before exit 2 (back to A27 e/b) in the LH lane?

Sadly Google Street view doesnt cover it yet, otherwise we could all take a look.

The description of the roundabout has never changed. The picture was described as not being accurate. I really do not understand what the fuss is about

OP was in the left lane, turning right on the 3rd exit as per the lanes on the roundabout. Have IQs dropped sharply?

So OP left the A27, and kept in the LH lane all the way around?

I'm not gonna bother trying to explain anymore! For those who get it, great, thanks!

For those that don't, I just wish you could see the thing, it would make so much more sense to you!
