Brake caliper nipples

Featured Replies

Can anyone advise where to get some rear brake caliper nipples for my Fabia VRS.

My local Skoda dealer had been unable to source any - theyve been on back-order for 4 months !!!

Would it be worth trying an Audi or VW dealer - I cant see why they should be more successful though.

Or are there any brake component suppliers I could try.

Ive been to all my local "car bar" shops and cant find the right nipples there either.

I'm surprised they cannot get the correct nipples, as the rear caliper is common to VAG/Skoda/SEAT So would be worth checking with VAG and Skoda garages. Failing that, a breakers yard, but they might want you to buy the complete caliper. If you do find them at a breakers yard, check parts very carefully just to be on the safe side.

check with a Ford dealer , ask for the nipples off a 2000MY on Galaxy diesel

Well I was at my VW dealer today picking up "1K0" handbrake lever return springs, and asked for a couple of front and rear nipples. They only had one front one in stock and so to avoid ordering them and making another trip to the VW dealer to pick them up, I thought that I'd be smart and get them at a VW Van Centre near me - as I had discovered that the front ones are the same as the front ones on a 2001>2003 Caddy and the rears are the same as the rears on a 2004>2006 Caddy. Unfortunately I had written the words Polo 9N on the bit of paper I handed over with the p/ns on it - so all I got was "I tried but we can't order car parts". I pity any Caddy owners that need new bleed valves!
