Micronet Showroom

Anyone used them? Their prices seem very good, maybe too good to be true?

I've made a couple of enquiries to them and so far they've been helpful and polite, so just wondering whether or not to trust them!

IMO dont, theres a lot of baffle about the company directors being banned to own a business, but they get round this some how

search previous post's on them you should find a lot of usefull information

Save up a little bit more for piece of mind :)

i did get some cheap prices from them too, they did hassle me a bit via email but other than that they seemed ok.. note I bought mine through a dealership, they got to within 200 quid of Micronet's price and i was guaranteed a 54 plate with correct lights and all extras.. I was just a bit dubious of Micronet's (or any other internet dealership's ) prices and whether they are pre-registered or not...

If your serious and you've got a favourite dealership, it's worth taking the quote along and bartering a bit to see what they'll get down to (note i got

If i remember correctly, the 2 men in charge of Micronet are disqualified from being company directors. To get around this, they apparently set up as a "partnership".

Personally, i wouldn't do business with anyone previously disqualified in such a way, no matter what their current record is.

Do a search on Google groups, you'll find some interesting stuff ;)

I believe that they also require you to pay them, rather than other companies that merely act as brokers, and you pay the balance to the supplying dealer.

Wow within

Ste, don't go near them! :thumbdwn:

So glad I didn't place my order with them!

TBH I could have got my fabia cheaper, by maybe

Yep, true certainly. Cheapest isn't always the best value in the longer term...

I disagree slighly... i class buying from micronet 'taking a chance', but i bought from tins.co.uk, they were extreamley helpfull and deliverd the car exactly where and when I wanted, and took the money out on the date promised. The car was faultless and so was the company. I went down to my local dealer and had a good chat with the guy about servicing etc and came away very pleased.

So i have faith in internet companies with a good reputation like tins.co.uk and drivethedeal.com and I also saved myself a lot of money :)

I would buy from tins aswell. I work at a printers, and for 12 months we had the contract to print all the stationery for Pendragon PLC. (Tins are part of Pendragon) I was amazed at the dealers we were printing for all over the country. We were printing Porsche one day to Mercedes, Rover, Ford, Jaguar, Harley Davidson etc. etc.

I think they must be one of the largest motor groups in the uk.

You misunderstood slightly, I was referring directly to Micronet, not internet companies in general. I've been looking seriously at Tins and DrivetheDeal and may well use one of them.

I don't have a problem using any company, as long as I can get some positive remarks about them. So the above two pass, but not Micronet.

The best use for prices from Micronet is as a bargaining tool with the dealerships, I reckon. I don't trust them for the following reasons:

1. They told me they would have no problem getting me a vRS fabia in graphite grey - a colour it doesn't come in...

2. They said they could get it for

Will tins.co.uk budge on price or are they fixed at 11,300, I want to get a few options in for around the 11k mark but no one seems to touch them and I have heard of people on here getting them for 11k fully loaded.

Doubt they will budge... Its such a good price now and there selling so many they do not need to deduct any further, unfortunatly :(
