Electrical child locks ?

Featured Replies

I don`t see them as an option from superb`s price list. Does anyone know if it could be possible to program them for the car ? As a taxi cab, it would be a good feature, so that the customers without money couldn`t run away from the back seat....:D

AFAIK only proper taxi's (as in london) are permitted to have such a system here in the UK.

You could enable antihijack, which makes things harder.

Always had the anti hi jack enabled on my old superb taxi, solves lots of problem with runners, drunks opening doors on the move and also when we have special needs kids on school contracts.

Now waiting for my new superb to be delivered, I'm told on friday! :D Will be enabling it on that one to.

Roll on friday!

Electrical child locks are a great idea for a number of reasons.

I had a mother and child on the back seat a few years back, the child started to get boerd and decided to play with the electric windows while the mother was watching, up and down up and down and it was freezing cold  so i decided to switch them off from the front :D Then the child decided to open the door while i was doing 40MPH i quickley slowed the car down, i knew neither of them had their seatbelts on, the mother looked at me in horror and said did i really have to brake like that! I did make it clear that she was responsible for her child and its the law seatbelts must be worn.

Thats why i think electrical child locks are a great idea, as well as to stop the runners lol;)

just put the normal childlocks on and then get out to let the customer out. they will like the extra attention of you opening the doors !!!

I spend enough time getting out to open the doors on my other taxi (vw T5 shuttle). Such a simple task that people find so hard! Wish I'd specced electric doors!

Simple...Weld up rear doors and fit a steal bulkhead:eek::eek:

Kids safe and sound tucked up in bed.....:):)
