I ordered mine on 4th august so its taken almost exactly 8 weeks from order to delivery

full leather, maxi dot, mdi and rear parking sensors

have to say I'm very pleased, leather is nice and soft in the centre panels, and the mdi works really well, even my missus is impressed

it may just be my imagination but the steering wheel feels a little smaller and a bit chunkier compared to my previous mk2..but like I say that may just be me dreaming.

the previously silver trim now has a brushed effect that looks pretty good..I had to check it was really plastic when I first got in..and the ash tray is no longer an ash tray, they have put a little bit of carpet in it to stop things rattling which is cool as I always put my keys in there! mine also has no ciggie lighter its just marked as a power socket.

apologies for last pic it started to rain!

and it definitely says TSI on the engine cover..engine seems much quiter and smoother on tickover as well and no underbonnet insulation so may get a pad ordered up with the dealer but at the moment it really does not sound as if it needs it

first impressions of the bolero are also good, it sounds not bad at all with good bass and radio 5 is not half as bad on this one as my now departed mk2!

Very nice indeed. Loving the leather, looks very smart. You are right about the wheel though, smaller and quite a bit chunkier I think and much nicer to hold.

Its the first red FL one I've seen a picture of with standard wheels

Not seen a FL VRS of any description in real life yet :eyecrazy:

I personally don't think that it looks as "different" from the standard car as the older generation VRs. I still like it but it's not as strikingly different as I would expect for a VRs.

and one last thing I noticed, the fuel filler cap no longer says it prefers 98 RON fuel..I still gave it some vpower for its first fill mind! the manual says the same 95 RON and nothing less than 91 RON

2/ I notice you've got a different speedo, you've got 30, 50 & 70 on it, which according to one or two people is missing from the speedo's of most Octavia's!

actually I noticed other people were saying their maxi dot display was showing kmh? mines showing mph (unless the dealer set it up before i got it!)

I'm not on about your maxidot speedo, I'm on about the analogue one!

I've seen quite a few posts saying that the speedo's don't show 30, 50, 70 etc, yours does!

As another post has mentioned, there needs to be a kmh reading as there is none on the analogue dial (For EU reasons?)
