Does the 5.0 Phaeton have a DPF?

Featured Replies

As the title says really...

I was curious if my car has a DPF fitted. Its a 5.0 TDI 05 plate model. Google searches dont bring up anything, apart from references to later Toureg's having them fitted.

The cars manual might as well contain blank pages for how useful it is...

Any techies know?

if you look at the vehicle data sticker in the service book, one of those codes should show if its installed or not.

The Phaeton doesnt have a DPF on the V10. Only the V6 has.

That is why they dont build it anymore. According to VW there isnt enough space to safely stowe the DPFs away.

There is however an adress in Germany that converts the V10 to a car with DPF.

Cheers - Just wanted to know........

Gets me thinking now... :)

i think Primey is thinking more along the lines of removing certain restricting items off the car , not actually adding more of them on ;)

I know :D. Just wanted to complete the information. No one will ever put such a restrictor in his car, when he is not forced to do so (you are still lucky in GB, different thing in Germany though....:()

Get that remap

Remap will be coming, but may have to do something else as well.. ;)

Theres no DPF on the V10 Phaetons, as mentioned by someone else there isn't room to fit them on Phaetons, hence V10 is no longer available on them, only Touaregs.
