Hi, new member, Bought a 3 year old 2.0 TFSI VRS

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just joined the forum.

Purchased a 3 year old TFSI VRS. Attached is pic with Independance Of The Seas, Southampton.

Went to Simpsons Of Colne. Best dealer i have ever visited to be honest. Not pushy and customer service still excellent after buying the car.

Only thing I don't like about the car is the chrome grille. Can't understabd why Skoda did'nt colour match it! Read alot about them on here and am planning to buy a milotec grille and fit a VRS badge to it.

Also thinking about a simple remap to release a bit more of the cars potential.

Have read alot of good reviews of more-bhp in Cheshire. It is near to where i live. Has anyone any experience of them on here?

Hello and welxome

Hello and welcome to Briskoda.

Not heard much about More-BHP, but a quick search will throw up dozens of threads regarding tuning for the TFSi engine.

You already have an advantage anyway as 3 year old Blue VRS's are faster than all the others :D:D:D

Also try a search for colour coded grilles, they look better than Milotec ones IMO anyway.

Cheers

Hello :)

Welcome on board!

Welcome :)

welcome mate .

is the tuning place in middlewich , by any chance ?

Welcome!

Hello and welcome .

Hello

Steve

Who are you, the welcome Police? :P

It's because he's posted his first question in there you see; puts people off ;)

Hi and thanks for that.

Yes I think they are in Middlewich so would only be about a 45 minute drive from me.

I have mailed them and they seem to be very professional, wanting £249 for a re map.

Tempted to go for it. !

Re the milotec grille, i would prefer this option as it lets me keep my old grille as standard in case it ever goes back on the car.

Hi and welcome.

I hope you find the forum to be as helpful as I have. I also recently bought a 3 year old 2.0 TFSI. I think you'll find that red ones are the fastest though ;)

Have fun!

its 5 mins from me , didnt go for this when i was looking around , dont think they had a rolling road , if your that close , we can expect you at the next meet then , there will be a couple of mapped cars there , mine and another 1 quite late ....

Hi mate,

Yes I will try my best.

Good to see some bike enthusiasts on here too.

Currently ride a Varadero XL1000 and do around 10,000 miles a year including touring holidays.

ooooh bikes , not good on this forum , you will see .

check out the remap threads , p-torque would be my choice , i have revo st1 and it brilliant but expensive .

Not according to the Milky Way ad... :thumbdwn:

Fair point. Mine is an estate, so I suppose I must be carrying a bit of extra weight!
