Welcome Robzer,

You will find there are a lot of ex-Subaru Impreza owners on this site. The Scooby is a very expensive car to run and Skoda offer far cheaper to run performance oriented cars.

Around 15 years ago Subaru was a struggling brand seen as producing rusty odd farmers cars, but early Scooby buyers were able to see the value, performance and the changing times for Subaru. I suspect the same buyers were also able to see the same in Skoda.

Cheers

I dont know about anyone else, but I'm really not convinced the Fabia really is 1315 kg. The Ibiza Sport TDI is only 1192 kg, so what on earth is making a Fabia weigh nearly 130 kg more?

I find it even more hard to believe it can weigh more than a Mk4 Golf 130.

In roadtests, the Fabia is besting the Ibiza and Golf according to Autocar, so how could this be possible if it was heavier?

Fabia's as big as a Mk3 Golf?

No.

Its a lot heavier, my 1.4CL 1993 Mk 3 is around 950kg vs my 1.2 Fabia at around 1100kg.(Strangely the Fabia feels lighter) But the MkIII Golf is much larger internally than the Fabia. Try the 3 adults in the back test. Theres no substituting Specification gazing for really trying out...

Fabia is a 4 adult + 1 infant size.
