Annoying vibration from glove box

Featured Replies

This has started over the last week when I accelerate from about 1500+ rpm the glove box makes a horrible vibration noise but if I open the box and drive round with it open it doesn’t make a sound. I cant seem to find any loose panels around it, has anyone got any ideas how to shut it up without leaving it open all the time

Try some larger rubber stops in place of the smaller ones, fixed mine.

I'm just left with rattling doors now!

Redundant quote deleted.

i got a new glovebox lid under warranty when mine rattled

mine is the glove box handle. argh

Same here. Its not the problem as posted above, its the damn glovebox lid. I posted about it a while ago, and apparently its a known rattle.

Never got around to sorting it, as I have more annoying noises to waste my money on ;)

Hi I have the same problem on mine. I have found it to be the lid not closing all the way causing it to rattle.

Really needs bigger rubber stops to pack it out abit. As suggested.

I personally think the trim quality is poor compare to other rivals.i.e. vw golf

A new glove box is on the shopping list and new seat subframe as mine are all worn.

Does anyone know now much a new glove box is?

Cheers
