Smith in 125's is 1st in 125's:thumbup:

So, is Rossi going to win the title this weekend............or will Gorgeous George take the fight to Valencia???

I reckon Rossi will hold on the title this weekend.................be good if it goes to the last round, but unlikely.

Now, do I kick the dog/cat or Mrs on Sunday if Rossi does take it?

Rossi only needs forth place or better to retain his title. In most races this season when the usual suspects have still been on their bikes at the end of the race the top four have been Rossi, Lorenzo, Stoner & Pedrosa, (in various combinations) with the fifth placed rider quite a few seconds down the road.

So Rossi just needs to pul 0.5 sec per lap on the fifth place rider for another title.

Or if Lorenzo bins it yet again, Rossi wins no matter where he finishes

:D:D

I think we all know that unless The Doctor bins it this weekend then No. 9 is his.

BTW Lance You could kick all three, but be ready to run !!;)

Rossi puts the hammer down.

Methinks could be a very interesting race.

I hope so after some relatively dreary ones lately.

Savage qualifying time by the Doc, 0.569 quicker than Lorenzo in 2nd. Casey looked like he was spitting flames after his Qual. effort, not happy with the bike at all.

Rossi looks very quick, "IF" he can get away at the start he'll be hard to stop.

Btw Rumour has it that Ducati will have a new guy heading them next year (someone who gets on with Rossi as Livio Suppo doesn't, so Italian rider will finish out career on Italian machine)

Valentino Rossi- 2009 MotoGP World Champion!!!! :D:thumbup::);)

His Records say it al!!

THE GOAT!!!!!!!!! :D

Haven't watched the race yet, but I've seen the result. Well done Rossi, but Stoner looks to be back on form, which could make next season very interesting.

Take the last option Lance :P

Annyingly the BBC swapped channels half way through the race because it was running late , so I missed the last 12 laps!

Result

Phew , he nearly lost it going past Lorenzo.

Stoner's pace in the wet

...just sort of confirms / firms up something have been thinking more and more i.e. they say the Ducatti is the most difficult to ride, it bucks and kicks and yet when Stoner is on it it seems to run on rails

A steamin' and a rollin'........:D

All hail The Doctor.:bowdown1: :bowdown1::yipee::yipee::cool:

I think Stoner was in a different race to the rest of them!!

The Doctor did what he needed to do & be a little cautious for the first few laps. Then just followed Lorenzo around for a while.

I liked the little fight that Hayden & Lorenzo had at the start. :D

Hayden hadn't forgiven him for the turn 1 incident at Philip Island!!

But Rossi is champion again!

Didn't quite get the "chicken" celebration on the cool down lap.

Some turnaround for Casey in the Race compared to Qualifying.

Btw did anyone see the 250cc race........SAVAGE !!!!!!!!!

The "chicken" celebrations were something to do with an Italian saying about "making good soup from an old chicken".

Yeah, that was a scary moment on the right hander not long after passing him:eek:

Honestly though, i've never seen the Ducati look like its on rails, its always bucking and weaving even with Stoner on it. I think that was one of the key changes since last years bike, there was always the complaint of the rear of the bike 'pumping' under hard acceleration.

Has time stopped??

Nope, but then do we all question it when you read it in ALL the news releases or Mags and when Journalists or highly respected RACERS and people actually involved in the Racing World and with ALOT more knowledge in the Sport than us mere armchair pundits say it??

We could change it to maybe "The GOATSFATM" but to me that doesnt have a ring to it.:D

All hail The Doctor.:bowdown1: :bowdown1::yipee::yipee::cool:

Yes indeedy:thumbup:;)

Yip, i just wish Rossi didnt fluff the first corner, he didnt have the pace in the first few laps (maybe down to getting throught the traffic??) but he did get the Fastest lap of the Race so the pace was definetly there.

I think the Chicken thing was along the lines of the Italian saying "an old chicken makes the best Broth, but can no longer lay eggs" in other words.....hes the old chicken but he can certainly STILL lay eggs (win championships) or something like that??!!:eek:

WTF?????:D
