Ask your dealer to check whether you order is 'VAT price-rise protected', it doesn't necessarily have to do with when the car is delivered but when it was ordered and when it is consigned. Depending on those variables Skoda will guarantee the price - or not.

You might be surprised - ours was ordered on 26th September for mid-late December delivery - and we are picking it up on 6th November!

Welcome to Briskoda

Ordered mine 22nd September with a list of options; built over a week ago WK42 12th October; currently sat in Emden (Northwest Germany) waiting for a ship to the UK.

I think some of the current TDI 110 orders for the UK are looking at build WK47 16th November.

Need to remember that the TDI 140 and 1.8 TSI production has been running since mid May, whereas the TDI 110 is not due in production until WK45 2nd November although this may have come forward due to increased production; so there could be a bit of a backlog of advanced orders.

By the way which trim level and colour have you decided on?

Slight date error still half asleep!!!"

Hi,

My Yeti 140 elegance witha few extras was ordered Sept and i will pick it up This Thursday 29th Oct, subject to the PDI being done, went over to Vindis Woolpit to sort out paper work and wife was given a snow monster toy standing around 700mm high, which was a nice touch from the team at Woolpit.:)

The Yeti 110cr doe's only go into production week 45 commencing the 2nd Nov, you won't pay the increase on VAT even if you collect the car in January, Skoda UK will be pushing all cars into 2009 for their own targets however a normal 8-12 week factory order pushes your car to the end of the year even into Jan. The factory also closes for 1 week in December too.

Thanks for the confirmation on production and welcome as I see you are fairly new Briskodian and a Yeti owner.

Think we are now looking at 17 Yeti's with owners or on order; 15 in the UK and 2 in Norway.

Thanks for the info - very helpful.

We've ordered the non-metallic Corrida Red (I always think £400 is a bit 'steep' for some paint - though we normally do choose metallic) and a couple of (for us) essential options - rear sensors and full size (though, steel) wheel. We've also gone for the 'Off Road' 'button' - incredidbly good value for £80 !

One other point which has intrigued me - have you (or anyone else) seen the recently published economy figures for the 110hp diesel (in the Download Brochure from SUK - I don't think they've got round to the printed version with the 110hp figures - they were still, "to be confirmed" in the September brochure) ? I'm sure they've got the 110 and 140hp model figures the 'wrong way round' - they've said 46.3 mpg combined for the 110 and 47.1 for the 140 (despite the fact that the September brochure - confirmed - figures for the 140, were 46.3 !). They also seem to have got the CO2 figures the wrong way round (saying 159 for the 110hp and 157 for the 140hp - again they were confirmed in September as 159 for the 140 !). I've pointed this (mistake ?) out to Customer Services, but they don't seem to have changed the Download brochure - or told me I'm wrong !

Noticed this CO2 change myself; could be a mistake as you say, SUK have a bit of a reputation for misinformation.

On the other hand it may have been reassessed; remember the Yeti is fairly heavy and probably has the aerodynamics of a brick (no offence to the old Snow-monster), so the smaller 110 will be working that bit harder than the 140 to move it along.

Will hopefully have the answer when mine turns up (eventually) as it will be printed in the V5C.

Also keep looking out for the revised on-line international owners handbook; the current first edition only covers the TDI 140 & the 1.8TSI, which also states 159 for the 140.

?koda Auto - Documentation

Regard colour; corrida red the same as myself and for a similar reason preferred to spend my money on options. I take it you have also gone for the SE trim?

The spare wheel is 'full size' but speed limited to 50mph due the fact it's smaller than the actual wheel/tyres fitted as standard but still a lot better than a skinny spacesaver.

Hi not sure if the attachment helps to solve fuel consumption of 110 engine .I got the details from Skoda info cz when i was deciding which car to order.Hope file download is ok as have not done this before !

Forgive me if I am wrong, but are the 110 and 140 hp versions of the 2.0 CR diesel (and perhaps even the 170hp) not the same engine, with different mapping?

Hope attachment worked this time Think it had wrong file extension last time::confused:

Great information Itey - thanks. Unfortunately (for me !), the technical parameters you gave are for the CR 2.0 110hp 2 wheel drive, I really need the details for the 4x4. Can you give the link / contact details for getting the parameters for the 4 wheel drive (PM if you don't want to post them) ?

SUK have been a bit 'naughty' in not sorting the information out about the 110 hp fuel economy and CO2 figures - after I contacted Customer Services (2 weeks ago) with the question - no one has come back to me to say either I'm right and they'll correct the brochure (the download version and the hard copy), or I'm wrong !

Yes, but the 2 versions (or the 3, if you count the 170 hp model) could / should have different fuel economy and CO2 figures - certainly the VW models with the same CR engines (Passat, Golf Plus) have (the 110 hp being about 1 mpg better than the 140 on the combined cycle and slightly lower CO2 figures).

Great minds think alike - the Corrida Red does look good (drove one in our test drive - and it also looks good in the Yeti bochure) - though it is the first non-metallic we've had for a few years.

You ask about the model we've ordered - actually it's an 'S' - we thought about the 'SE', but there weren't many extras in it we wanted (and consequently thought £1400 is a 'bit steep' - though don't doubt that it's a good 'package' if you like the options). I note from the Build Schedule that's on the Forum (did you obtain that ?!), that the 'S' was only built from Week 41 (October) - so that's why we haven't seen any yet !

You say that when you get your Yeti, you'll have a look at the V5C and let me know what the (140hp) CO2 figures are - that would be great - and very useful, thanks. It might also be helpful if you could have a look at the Technical Information that comes with the New Owner Booklet - and let me (us !) know if it gives Economy and CO2 figures for all models ?

No problem; looking out for new info as it turns up, keeping me amused while I wait for my Snow-Monster to arrive.

Not actually seen a corrida red Yeti in the metal myself so your feedback is appreciated.

Had in mind that you where ordering an SE spec as you mentioned rain-sensors, which I am under the impression from the brochure is an SE option only (std Elegance). If this is another SUK blunder let us know; thanks.

Went for the SE spec as I wanted the rough road pack; again not on the options list for the 'S'

Thanks for the info.

Just had a scan through and besides the CO2 figure that Bald Reynard was interested in which is given as 159, I noticed the torque figure for the 4x4 is given as 280Nm against the 2wd which has previously published 250Nm.

That's another 'correction' I've already passed on to Customer Services. I really do think they should get their act together on this information (for all CR versions) - I think they've got themselves in a right 'tizzy' about all this - contradicting figures they've already published (and as 'Confirmed') in the UK September Launch brochure and in the Skoda Auto (the Company's English version) website 'download' - in both cases they gave the economy figures for the 140hp 4x4 as 6.1 l/km combined (46.3 mpg) and the CO2 figure as 159 - now (UK October Download version) it's 6.0 (47.1) and 157 !

Is it as easy as changing a chip? I would have thought that a cam change would be required to up the dwell and overlap? Just changing the injector timing would only be part of the "uprating"

You may well be right, but honestjohn does not mention it.

See also my posts in the "4WD Power losses" thread.

I now think you can remap the 110PS to about 140hp, the 140PS to about 170hp and the 170PS to 195hp. But not the 110PS or 140PS all the way to 195hp! So I think there must be some differences in other vehicle components.

Can anyone give us authoritive information on this?

Spoke to my dealer today and he says the 110 2wd will start building on week 49.

He does not yet have a build date for mine, ordered 15 October.
