as my previous vechicle was vandalised and it was elderly (13 years) and a lot of miles behind it (229,000). i could not afford what i wanted, so i tried to pick up a golf as i have had 13 vw's over the years, used to rally beetles at one time back in the 60's but had only 4 days to find something as the girlfriend and i were off to scotland and her car is too small. so i bought an immaculate one owner felicia with 30,989 miles behind it. i have missgivings about the electronic gizmo's on it (expensive). that 1600 motor is real nice though and very highly geared like the really old beetles (lovely). i always drive on the rev counter. if it is not raining the lift top is always open and it is a nice car to drive, (even nicer when i get my steering wheel knob for extra quick movements). i'm surprised it does not have alloy wheels as standard but when the time comes i will fit a stainless exhaust so it breathes a little better and sounds sportier. if the wheel discs get pinched i will look at a set of alloys, we'll see. great to join the sect, probably will here and meet some of you in the future. regards, trevor.

Yea, loads of thought, and on suspension, exhausts, cams, brakes. Credit card's looking a bit wonky at the moment though :( Must work harder.

Not doing anymore until the new year.
