Skoda repairs in Rotherham?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

The front o/s CV joint on my 2000 Fabia (178000 miles and still going strong!) is knackered and as I'm a complete mechanical ignoramus I need a garage to fix this for me. I've tried a couple of Rovrum garages before but not completely happy with any of them. Does anybody on this site have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

Morning mate, believe it or not my O/S CV joint is also knackered, albiet only 70,000 miles in, but will let it off due to the amount of abuse it gets!

Ive booked mine in at Spitfire Performance (www.spitfireperformance.co.uk) for them to do mine, might be worth giving them a call, as im pretty sure they will beat any quote you get mate.

EDIT - Just clicked the website to make sure it was the right URL, and it seems its 'down for a upgrade' but they do have a local contact number, so give them a call! No harm in trying, a!

Cheers for that TSpark; I rang them yesterday, they came out to look at the car last night, confirmed it was the CV joint, and will come to mine to collect the car on Friday, take it to their garage, fix it and drop it back off again. Now THAT'S service!

Great news :) How did they say they would need it for out of interest?

They are a great bunch of knowledgeable and hard working guys, id prefer to give my money to them, trying to make ago of it, than some stealer dealer that will give half the service.

This sounds interesting, as my car needs some work doing to it soon.
