1259Kg........" Can I have Lofty 86's hug please " :)

Didnt give us much chance to guess it! I would have guessed just that too, well I might have said 2000KG's just to make sure the hug wasnt mine, no offense :)

Sounds about right, I put my Ibiza on the weight scales an with a full tank came out at 1100kg's

hugs all round, every one is a winner!

i once spent all day removing the bitumen sound deadening out of an old type Mini , 12kg, then fitted a full Safety devices cage 50+kg , doh

Your so sweet, and you don't even know me.

Where can you remove weight from, but still keep the car useable day to day? So no taking the spare or rear seats etc out...

define usable? I can use mine everyday with just that you have said not to take out?

Anything you take out, will make it less useable to someone.

There is no way of saving weight (minus running aroun like that corsa lad *not mr sport i hope!* with £5 with of fuel, and ya back seats flat!)

Whilst keeping it usable. Sound deadening means it will be louder, so to some people that isnt usable anymore, take the speakers/h.u out, means again to some wouldnt be usable anymore.....

Useable as in have kids, so need the back seats, do a fair commute so quite fancy my music :P

Not really expecting there to be much weight to save though...

Get a lighter, (and faster anyway) petrol engine? :P

Only other real thing would be to fit lighter wheels that I could think of without removing something thats needed.

Ahhhhhhhhh Cheers!

No dude i won the hug :D

Getting lightweight alloys is a great way of increasing performance. :)

that was another ledgendary thread,

Smaller wheels + lightweight = lower unsprung mass and lower friction to overcome, so greater acceleration.

If you got a space saver in the boot, ditch the air-con, and got rid of your belly you'd lose about 100kgs. :P

Its ok mike. I'll help you to catch up with me.

We'll get the arch vent in and clean out your inlet manifold and intercooler and see how that goes before you start throwing things overboard!

Just been testing a weighbridge :-)

Mine was 1240

God I'm good!

Up yours, you have a bigger belly than me! :P

Just you wait ;)
