Black's my favourite

Very nice!

Looks really nice, v smart!

Thinking about getting one in black too - are they a pain to keep looking clean?

Mmmmm..... very nice

D'day mate! Looks nice. But needs lowering a bit before it can be 'fair dinkum'.

Whats the best springs(?) to get to lower and how much does it cost?

Just had a sit in a facelift Race Blue today whilst picking up a set of Skoda approved Eibach lowering springs from my dealer.

Liked the new instrument cluster and the new std alloys but still not sure about Audi stylee running lights ....

The springs are £138 and approved so no warranty issue and drop the car 20mm but I was told they are no longer a Skoda part so are available until stocks finish.

PI also do some springs which at least one member has on their car and drop the car 30mm.

Fitment at Skoda was 3 hours labour (£70 + VAT) but shop around as I am getting them fitted for £100 at a garage we use for my partners Honda.

Bonza!

You can carry on just getting the springs from an Eibach re-seller. They'll be exactly the same part, just not with a Skoda part number stuck on the box.

And very likley a good bit cheaper...

Do a search. There have been numerous debates on the merits of lowering springs (typically, but not exclusively, Eibachs + or - FSDs) -v- coilovers.

But surely without the Skoda warranty? Regards this if you gave the Skoda the Eibach springs in the future (the same ones as currently supplied by Skoda) would they fit and warranty them in the same way they currently do?

I'm not really sure I understand. Obviously the Eibach springs come with a minimum 12 month warranty anyway, so if there was a problem it would be sorted out in this way. The fitting of springs is not going to void your entire car's warranty!

£138 isn't a bad price for them through Skoda to be fair. They're maybe a bit cheaper from one of the better resellers, such as JKM or Awesome.

I imagine it would void any suspension warranty from Skoda.

I will be dropping my vRS for sure when I get it, it will just depend on how far a drop I fancy without giving an issue to the OEM dampers

(my car will be a company car, hence my interest in keeping with the Skoda warranty)

As it will be the same part from Eibach, the chances of their being an issue and the dealer finding the difference between ones sourced from Eibach, or ones sourced through Skoda are pretty slim....

Mainly because there's not a difference! I agree, if you can get them through Skoda and fitted for a reasonable price, do it - it's the path of least resistance :)

Steve

Looks good, anyone found any pics of a black estate with silver roof rails?

I have to wait at least a month, if not two!!!

Sadly I won't be getting my vRS until July next year so the stocks would of gone by then. Will take a view on it then I think:thumbup:

Just buy a set now then, in preparation

Cheapest I found Eibach springs , prior to ordering were £132 and then they would be a package cost. The drive to the Skoda dealer cost me a fiver in fuel and the are the bonafide warranted part but have no Skoda part numbers on them, so without a receipt I doubt anyone can tell the difference.

Have since discovered The Skoda Shop are doing them 10% off , so £124 but no idea if they charge carriage...

I think they do, but I'm only about 4 miles away  Might take the plunge and buy some, then get an independent to fit them :), or preferrably your mechanic

Presume the OEM Eibach springs are are fine with the FL model

Do it Bryan

But then you'll probably be tempted by some Koni FSDs to go with them :)

Bloody good setup, but not cheap. It's like our xenon conversation again really....
