Kms on my Maxidot MFD

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me how I can change the speed display on my Maxidot from Kms to miles. Cheers.

You can't, if you look at the speedo you will notice that there is no KMS on the dial so the digital readout replaces that.

Thats it in a nutshell, the EU say we must have a km/h speedo, as this is no longer on the main dial its been moved to a digital display in the maxidot. All models, including non maxidot have a km/h display.

So what about the note:

"If vehicles which are fitted with the information display* the display of the second

speed is activated in mph or km/h, this driving speed is indicated instead of the

counter for the total distance driven."

On page 18 of the Owners Manual?

Well I wish it was easy to see 30 mph on the speedo!

I used to drive Tank Transporters (Antars) in Germany. The Antars were Right Hand Drive and the speedo was in MPH. We had to paint a thin red line on the speedo glass to mark the 50 KPH (30 MPH) mark so that we did not exceed the speed limit. The ANTAR had a stright 12 cyclinder Roll Royce engine and produced 333 BHP at 2100 RPM. You should try speeding with a Centurian Tank on the trailer having an all up weight of 100 ton.

Im waffling on but my Yeti has 140 BHP. Thats progress ;)

One of the most impressive displays of sheer power was seeing a chieftan let rip on a tank firing range - the whole thing jumped back each time it fired - 55 tons ?

Hi, I don't have a Yeti - yet, but accordingly to the User Manual... " Second speed Here you can switch on the display of the second speed in mph or in km/h). Valid for countries where the values are indicated in British measuring units. " This is in the section: "Instruments and Indicator/Warning Lights" Hope this helps. Graham
