Basically i noticed today that the needles on both my temperature guage and the fuel guage were flickering, does anybody know if its just one bulb for both needles?? if so would flickering mean its on its way out??

Doesn't use bulbs, it's LEDS. If two are flickering, there will be a poor contact on the dash insert panel. Probably at the multi-plug.

Dash insert is easy to remove and check. Adjust steering wheel to lowest position and maximum rake. Prise off little plastic panel between dash and steering wheel top cover. Remove two screws that are then visible, slide dash insert forward and remove multi-plug. Check for dry solder joints on the panel multi-plug edge connector.

Funnily enough, noticed twice today and once yesterday that my entire dash lights seemed to flicker on than off! Wasn't looking at them, they just caught my eye. Stayed on the rest of my journey was just at the start of it. Could this be a sign of a battery on its way, or more likely just a bad connection?

Had to fit a new brake light bulb on the weekend, doubt its related but not noticed it before then

Worth checking the little dash dimmer wheel isn't noisy if they are all flickering. If you tap it and they flicker, it needs a squirt with switch cleaner.

You know, I was playing with it the other day (the switch that is)... you may be on to something!
