URGENT! Fabia vRS problem!

Featured Replies

I have a Fabia Vrs 06 with 20000 miles. I just got it remapped to 170hp and 295ft/lb but there is some kind of vibration coming from the front. It doesn't get any louder as you go through the gears it's just a constant vibrating sound but nothing is felt through the steering wheel. It started before the remap but has steadily got worse over the past few days. Any ideas PLEASE help!!

If its on harsh accelaration at low revs its could be DMF related. Is it felt throught the pedals? Is the clutch slipping?

It happens all the time. Kinda wheel bearingish without any of the vibration. Iv tryed jacking it up and shaking the wheel but there's no movement. The noise is still there when you put the car in neutral and coast.

Does it change if the clutch is engaged/disengaged?

Nope just constant all the time

Wishbone bushes?

Park the car with the handbrake on

If the front wheel moves when you rock the wheel forwards and back that it could be them.....Mine was well shot

When I braked , it kinda steered itself all over

But then , could be the rear engine mount , seen a few of them go in the past????

I woukld suggest engine mounts, had this on my audi a4. An annoyance rather than dangerous, does it change pitch when it warms up?

That would have been my suggestion too especially if the noise is constant i.e. even there on idle.

Got the problem sorted the other day. Turned out to be a wheel bearing!!! Done under warranty too! Delighted. Cheers for all the suggestions.
