You turn the odometer reset button either left or right can't remember which way though.

It's not the odometer reset button - it's the other one, next to the rev counter. Left for hours, right for minutes (and I think there's a combination to set 12 or 24 hour modes, but I can't remember how).

On the fabia it is all done on the one button. For the odometer you push it in.

Uk mode for the ECU is 24hr only. If you want 12h you need to set it for USA/Canada (you end up with 3.7l for a gallon instead of 4.5 due to the different units so MPG goes down)

The unthinkable happened - something broke on the Octy! Yesterday, when I tried to reset the clock to winter time it didn't work. Left, right - nothing. Tried to push a bit first, but I then read in the manual that pushing the clock reset button could lead to breaking the instrument...

So did I do the damage myself? :(

I have to hold it in the left position on my fab, where as my polo was as soon as i moved it to the left. Try that i guess.

On Mine press & hold the button sets the trip back to 000.

LEFT = Hrs

RIGHT = Mins

And its a 24 Hr clock.
