Cold Running Hiccup

Featured Replies

My Octavia VRS (Jabba'd and still smiling) has developed a hesitation at low revs when cold, after about 1 min its fine. Feels like a misfire, but possible fuel / air mixture problem. Anyone had the same, its still under warranty so guess its not a problem, thats assuming its not the Jabba chip.

Got a similar prob on the Audi and suspect the MAF. When I get some time I'm going to give mine a clean but I'd get it into the dealer for a look if under warranty...

if its happening when cold could this not be a mixture problem ?

i.e. the engines trying to draw too much air / fuel and briefly stuttering because of this

probably barking up the wrong tree.

Could it be associated with the operation of the secondary air pump which only works when the engine is cold?

My Revo'd Octy vRS is the same, is a bit better if I let it warm up before driving off, once warem it's ok. if I turn the Revo off its not quite as bad. Think all 1.8T engined cars have this problem to some extent, mines only done 5000 miles :)
