Pipercross or K&N panel filter?

Featured Replies

Im after a replacement panel air filter, following a recent oil change and so i dont have to worry about changing it again, but wonder if there is any difference between these 2?

Price wise the K&N is a tenner more, but is this actually worth it.

Its going in a standard 51 plate octavia vrs with no other engine mods, however a forge 007 will be going in soon, if this makes any difference?

Cheers

would say not much in it because they are both performance air filters tbh so imo i would save yourself a tenner and buy pipercross

Got a k&n in my octavia vrs and it didnt make any difference at all on a standard car

I have a pipercross panel filter in mine, cant say i noticed much difference, apart from it looks nice when the air box is opened...

the dv wont make a difference until the car is mapped buddy the standard bosch one is perfect for a standard car only needs a stronger dv when mapped

pipercross has been shown to be a better filter on a few cars on test, iv always ran pipercross and found a reasonable gain on petrol diesel NA and turbo vehicles, well reasonable gain for a filter anyway :D

Pipercross on mine with a remap and iv not had any problems . . . so i'd say pipercross lol
