My Furby vRS went pop!

Featured Replies

Having got to 2,500miles I ran it up to 115mph on Friday and on the way to work this morning a pipe off the bottom of the intercooler went pop, followed by lots of black smoke and a top speed of 30 mph!!. Dealer "fixed" it straight away. Within 200yds went pop again. Apparently needs new pipe from intercooler with different clip. Apparently I'll have to wait at least 7 days for a new part. Anyone else had this problem? Don't fancy reprogramming it now if the pipes blow off when it's standard!!

That's the first I have heard of one doing that.

Have faith..

It's a brill car, I was just sad to leave it behind! New Octavia TDi thingy they've lent me is just not me. Plus the 100 or so cars stuck behind me on the way to work won't be buying a Skoda now.............................most have them probably have respiratory problems from the diesel smoke (it was only indicating 27 mpg at the time)

Same pipe went on my bosses VW transporter V6 Tdi.

At least it hasn't gone snap or crackle yet.

No, but I've got a Polo Sport TDI that shakes, rattles and rolls!

IIRC... a fabia had the same thing happen during Brisky@Brunters... so its not unheard of.

Happened to mine when I first fitted the Hybrid, just took it off and refitted it and its been fine ever since.
