Does the Fabia VRS have an Alarm fitted, two in our household but not sure if they have an Alarm fitted. If so how is it activated or de-activated, where is the siren. Has it a Thatcham rating. Surley this must be known if not only for insurance purposes.

Yes it has an alarm. It does have a thatcham rating IIRC but not sure of the catogory.

If you want to know if it works/what it sounds like I'd suggest the following:

1. Wind down the drivers' window.

2. Exit and lock the car (one click of the remote locking)

3. Wait 30 seconds.

4. Stick your head in throught the open window

Thatcham Cat 2. Alarm module in scuttle panel, sounder at the rear near the back exhaust box.

Is the vRS alarm the same as the Factory Fit alarm for all Mk1 fabias? My Comfort came with the factory fit alarm system , I didnt know it was Thatcham approved.
