I am going mad!

Featured Replies

Well, despite not having seen snow like this in 30 years and not having been greatly inconvenienced (work closed doesn't count :giggle:) the wife has said our next car wil be a 4x4

I did tell her that £500 on wheels and tyres would do the trick but she won't listen. I'm also having my annual "Shall we get a second car for you, love" debate with the wife so these events will also be playing a part in that now. Might consider running a second car all year round on winter tyres providing we do sub 4k miles per annum.

You shouldn’t run Winter tyres once the temperature is above 7C, they wear out very very quickly, plus their handling/braking will be awful in warm weather :(

In all seriousness though, I'm looking at some options that would require another car, possibly more practical in this ilk. Tyres rather than pointless vehicle will be top of the list, most probably an all-season tyre on any second car.
