Fabia vRS cruise control retrofit

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've done a search didn't yield much, so sorry if this is a repeated post.

Is it possible to retrofit cruise control into a Fabia VRs? If so, how much is it roughly and who can do it? Main dealers?

Thanks

Yes it's possible, about £160

What's a VRs?

Its like a vrs, and similar to a vRs but quite different from a VRS emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Thanks for the info. Does the cruise control come in a kit, with stalk, electric string etc?

Yes indeed.

That's great. Thanks.

If you want to have a go yourself there is a guide on my fabia website which might enlighten you a little.

Plenty of people here willing to help you.

If you were to give it a Haynes Spanner rating how hard would you say it is? To do it yourself that is.

Probably 4 out of 5

Once its installed you will need someone with VAG-COM or VCDS or a dealer to code the car to say it now has cruise control fitted.

If doing it yourself, I found this Cruise. Don't know if that is cheap though.

Plenty of food for thought, many thanks.

I haven't got a VRs yet, but am looking closely having narrowed the choice down. Seems they offer what I am looking for; a reliable, economical and sporty midi hatch, it just needs cruise to tick most of my boxes!

Alright, So not a vRS...
