Very minor question. Wifes Roomster had a brake light out on Saturday. Was very easy to replace.

Was just suprised there was no internal 'bulb out' warning on the dash. My VW Golf has a warning light to warn if a bulb is out. and I thought that Skoka being the same group and using many of the same/similar componment would have the same?

No big deal though.

There's not always "common-ality" between models in the same range. For example, our 1.9 tdi Roomster has a blue engine temperature warning light in the dash display (goes out when engine up to working temperature) whereas our 1.4 tdi does not. Both are Roomster 2 spec and the dashboards are otherwise identical. Cannot understand why they never enabled the warning light on the little 'un. Wonder if it can be activated thru Vag Com as it would be nice to have ????

Nope.

It's a hardware thing, on most of the newer models it's on the canbus and the Roomy doesn't have full canbus

It's not big problem - we've had the 1.4 for three years now and never even knew the facility existed till the 1.9 joined the clan. Hopefully the little 'un does have a RED warning light to let us know when it's losing its cool in the absense of a proper gauge ?

My father has a Roomster 3 1.9TDi and he does NOT have any blue light on his car. Hmmm, thinking something should be there now.

My Roomster 3 Tiptronic without maxidot has a blue warning that goes out when the engine temperature comes up and (it says) it comes on again red if the temperature is too high.
