VRS at last - what next?

Featured Replies

Looking for a little advice and guidance as to our next vehicle. My wife and I both need cars every day, cars do about 10,000 miles each per year. At September last year we had a 2007 Octavia 1.6 Ambiente Estate and a 2008 Focus 1.6 hatch. We really liked the Skoda and were unimpressed by the Ford, so took advantage of Skoda VAT free offer. In December we took delivery of a new VRS TFSI Estate and are starting to think towards the repacement of the Octavia 1.6 sometime this year. Points to consider, budget - Octavia plus £8-£10000, fourteen year old son now 5"10 and still growing' plus his rugby playing mates to transport occaisionally. SWBMO has mentioned making use of our bikes that have lain unused for a few years(not putting a towbar on VRS for bike carrier) and we have had problems with getting in and out of our village due to this recent weather.VRS will take care of holiday trips to France. Don't particularly want another estate car so are we looking at a softroader, and if so, which one?

My uncle and his missus absolutely adore their Ford Kuga. All the reviews i've read are pretty good.

Yeti, simples

Volvo XC60, same underneath as the Kuga, but soooo much better everywhere else

if you can run to it; xc90 d5 - fromn an unbeliedvable 21k through DtD
