Coolant leak and MAF?

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I have a 1.4 Classic and it's losing coolant.

I filled it up last week and its now under the minimum level.

The tank doesnt appear cracked etc, as it doesnt appear to be an excessive leak (Can't see any drip underneath)

Can anyone point me in the possiblities of where it could be leaking?

I'll look under it properly once the snow has cleared, so will examine it fully. I just want to get a vague idea where to look

Also, after reading up about MAF faults - it seems to match all of the problems.

But again, can anyone point me to where it is?

How much would i be paying for a new one if its stuffed?

Cheers

The cap?

I have noticed some white marks around the underside of the bonnet where the cap is..

What could I do to fix it? New cap?

How can I be sure of it, too?

It doesnt have one? Haha, thats probably why I couldn't find one

I do get delayed acceleration when on the motorway though.. Could that be caused by a dirty throttle body?

My 1.4 fabia has a leak too and has done for a few years. When looking and feeling around, I found the water was from the fan switch in the rad. Hard to see this as its quite hiden.
