Octavia II door card removal

Recommended Posts

Hi all. I think the source of an annoying rattle is behind the rear passenger side door card. Any advice on how to remove the door card without breaking anything would be gratefully recieved.

Here's one link which may give some indication of what to do but Keith has probably got a better one. Removing Door Card

What rattle would this be?

I've got something which seems to be coming from around the rear shocker top?

Annoying rattle on smooth roads, like something hanging inside the door, it's irritating to say the least. Thanks to all for replying.

I did see it, just really after a more detailed picture of the inside of the door card.. on the picture you have linked to (picture 2) on the top left you have the vent hole and the tab below that appears to have broken in half on the door card so not sure it could hold the thread in, however its the same on the drivers side too so maybe its how they are supposed to be..any advice what they are supposed to look like? or where i can get a more detailed picture of the back of the door card?

I'll take some for you tonight fella. Is there anything you specifically want me to get a picture of?

That would be great if you could, basically if you look at this picture (number 2) http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/47196-how-to-remove-octy-ii-door-cards-speaker-sizes/# in the top left there is a hole in the door card where a vent goes, below that is one of the pop type fixings, i need to see what they look like minus the fixing in place, hope that makes sense, i need to see them without the green fixing as i think my bit that holds them is broken....

From an old door card...

You need to see underneath this bit? (ignore the optional extra 'cracked' bit!)

Not a problem if so, but how on earth do you get those pop fixings out without destroying them. Awful things!
