Heater blower motor resistor pack

Featured Replies

Evening all,

My heater blower started playing up today, eventually only working on the no 4 setting.

Did a search and found loads of info about the resistor pack so it was out with the spanners and its definately the culprit.(power at all 4 wires on the plug with the switch at the appropriate position)

I was hoping some helpfull person could tell me is how much these things are and are they a dealer only part,or can i get one from a local motor facters?

The cars a 56 plate vrs but i would think they are all the same.

Cheers!

Had mine replaced at a dealership last year, supplied and fitted for around 60-70 pound from memory, so part on its own should

not be much :)

I changed a friends a few weeks back after it blew, wasnt too difficult just awkward, Ill see if I can hunt out the part number, I ordered mine through a local dealer and it cost around £20.

Cheers for the reply's guys, been looking on line for one(gsf, euro car parts etc) but nobody seems to list one.

Was thinking it could be expensive from a dealer but for 20 odd quid i'll just go to the dealer

Will have to make a detour there one day this week.

Thanks.
