Hi.

Getting my standard VRS alloys resprayed next week. I have a standard Fabia VRS in silver.

I am really struggling to decide to get them sprayed the same colour or have the colour changed. Just after peoples thoughts and pictures if possible. Also the bloke has ask me if I want a different lip colour on them?

Whatever you do, don't get them done black or anthracite. They look crap. Just like dirty wheels all the time.

i think just a metalic silver would look great, dark wheels on silver cars look cack!

was going to get my tt comps done in anthracite tommrorow what do i do now! i hate mirror polished wheels only cause i wouldnt clean them!

I've been having crazy ideas lately about getting my wheels painted gold... Anyone who is good at photoshop and wouldn't mind doing a quick job for me I would much appreciate it!

I really wanted to be the 1st as I know they'd be marmite and unique on a Fabia.. i did a PS of them last year for UltraJoel88.. though, he wanted Anthracite.. hehe!

On a black car the chrome grille NEEDS painting to rock gold wheels. You'd prob get away with the chrome on the blue.

To the OP: I say go for the OEM look if ya not taken with a darker shade.

I think the black looks smart to be fair. You've got the choice of gloss black/matt black too.

I had a set of 17" TT comps refurbed in Satin Black for £160 IIRC

I think it'd look good on a lowered car but maybe a little silly on mine at factory ride hight.

Thread hijack but introducing (a very quickly done) Fabia VRS LE WRX

I just had my Fabia wheels refurbed and I was torn to be honest! I have had many colours in the past,,,all done by LapTab in Birmingham (this was my 7th set lol).

I went for High Bright Sports Silver in the end...came out really nice as it has a lot of metallic flake in the paint. Looks way better than the standard Skoda silver anyway.

It depends on the firm, but they will probably do it for you, you may have to pay to get the tyres refitted or at least balanced afterwords. When my father got his done he was chucking away the worn tyres anyway and came back unfitted.

I think £40-50 per wheel is the going rate for wheel refurbishing.

That vRS LE WRX looks quite good in a funny way... needs a bonnet vent!
