I'd pre-ordered this from Gameplay, release day 17th December. Fair enough I thought, just in time for Crimbo!

Now I go on the site and the release date is listed as 6th Feb 2005 :thumbdwn:

Has anyone who's pre-ordered had confirmation from another retailer that the date's been pushed back?

Play.com is listing it as early Feb as well - and I was looking forward to getting it for Christmas off the wife

I mentioned this on another thread - BBC News ran the story a couple of weeks ago to say that it had been delayed because of the time taken to 'localise' the European PAL release.

Apparently it has to be translated into 13 languages.

I believe that they've been trying to get the GT4 online gaming to work. So they've been trying that for the last few months. But they're going to scrap it cos they cant get the thing to work.......February it is then! If ur lucky.

I'll believe it when it is in front of my screen at home as I've heard both Yay and nay about this.

Also, you'd think that with the Uk version all the really need to do is format the Us on for pal and replace Opel with Vauxhall (which they do when you choose english on the european version language panel).

Its been postponed again, I read the the online feature will be removed from the game so it can be released for xmas, then in spring the online add on will be brought out.

When did gameplay tell you about the new date?

There will not be any skodas on there, ive seen the screen shots of most of the car on the net somewhere.

There are 650+ cars, have you seen them all?

Right as far as I know, Im not 100% certain GT4 is to be released at XMAS without the online facility, in spring the online add on will be brought out. Seeing that the game is way over a year overdue I wouldnt be suprised if it was put bac.

Hob nob, i have seen hundreds of car screenshots and didnt see any skoda. If you have a look around for the screen shots they are available...somewhere.

Annoying this if you check GT4's official site you can view the cars in the game but there is most certainly not 650 of them, Quite a few nice cars including a fiat panda but no skoda's but as I say there deffinately wasn't 650 cars on the page. But the rest is in japaneese so I can't read it
