1.2 TSI DSG

Featured Replies

Had a call from our fleet manager saying that they screwed up my order for my Yeti 1.2 TSI S manual.

I wrote a letter of complaint to the fleet management company - and had a call today saying that they could supply my 1.2 TSI DSG Elegance (Muscovado Brown) for delivery in April, at a reduced rate of an extra £36.00 a month.

Anyone else got a 1.2 TSI DSG on order? i think they're only starting production in next few weeks... what timescales have you been given for delivery???

I have a Yeti 1.2 TSI DSG Elegance in Muscovado on order. Order was placed on 10th December, and I've been told to expect delivery at the beginning of March on a "10" plate. First build week is meant to be week 5 (1st February), but I'm still waiting for the dealer to confirm the actual build date for my car.

Hope that's not my car they're offering you!!!

can you imagine that!!! weird how we've got exactly the same car, colour, spec, engine and transmission.

Whoa, hang on a minute. I've got a 1.2 TSI DSG (Elegance) in Muscavado on order as well!

I'll ring the dealer today and let you know what's going on with mine. When we placed the order last December we were giving an estimated delivery of first week of April.

By the way, did either of you guys actually manage to get a test drive in an auto? I couldn't seem to find when to test when I was looking, so test drove a 1.2 manual and bought one on the strength of it. would be interested in feedback on the auto if you have any.

Maybe you'll have to timeshare it.

I've only seen one parked up, and haven't even been inside one!

there was no chance of DSG test drive. They have just started start making 1.2 TSI DSG this month i think.

Ah right. Wondered if they might have run a few up for dealers and so on before they went on "general release" kinda thing.

No, I had to test drive in a manual diesel :(

Just checked my order form, and definately says March 2010. We ordered in the first week that Skoda's new order system went live, so just hope we're first in the queue for a 1.2DSG. I've never bought from Skoda before, how reliable are the delivery dates that dealers quote? And do dealers have a system where they can check individual build dates, shipping dates, etc?

Lombard are starting an exclusive personal leasing deal with VAG for all company employees. We always had a choice of any manufacturer - but Mercedes did ridiculious exclusive rates. We used to get A150's for £199 a month including insurance and servicing on 2 yr deals. No deposit, no advance payments.

From Feb 1st there switching this deal from Merc to VAG!!! which i means i get the Sat Nav included for the same price i was quoted for a non Sat Nav version.

I'm seriously thinking of adding more options now! which one's are really worth having? i mean the Elegance is so well specified - i feel i'm being greedy!!!

Just as info, i've succeed to manage 1200 EUR down price for my 1.2 TSI Ambition edition plus Aqua blue color , cruise control ,Bolero sound system, sunset windows, metallic roof rails etc.

so my end price now is 14900 EUR B) B)

3 weeks to arive,but can't wait anymore !!! :S

Just been given a build date of week 12 (22nd March) and a delivery date of approx. 3 weeks after that.

I think I'm going to find the waiting unbearable!

I'd go for pana roof and 12 speaker sound system.

Well we've gone for a couple of options:

I think the panoramic roof gives a very nice light and airy feel to the vehicle which I'm sure we'll appreciate on our summer jaunts through France/Switzerland.

If you live in a heavy traffic area like we do then I reckon the park assist (which I understand includes front/rear parking sensors) is going to be handy when we have to get parked quickly with buses/taxis/couriers/police/armed robbers up our backside, especially if one's spatial awareness is a bit iffy like my other half's (her admission, not mine!)

When did you order yours? That's a long time after my build date. We ordered in early December, and were given a build date of Week 5, with delivery to me in March.

Extras we've gone for are the Columbus Satnav, and the panoramic sun-roof.

We ordered early December too. Not quite sure why ours is going to take so long :(

You're getting me worried now ;) Think I'll have to phone the dealer next week and see if the build date quoted when we ordered is still correct. Hope it is, as the dealer's re-valueing our trade-in car at the end of February.
