Just ordered my PD 160 Intake and Strut brace.

Featured Replies

Hi guys took all of your opinoins about induction kits and decided against it. Hva ebeen to my friendly seat dealer and ordered the 160 intake, (both bits) and while I was there thought I would get a strut brace. Do you notice much difference in the handling with the strut brace fitted? I have just got to oreder my green filter now and then i will be finished for the mods for this year. Is it a stright fit with the 160 intake or do i need to mod?, by the way if anyone is interested The parts from seat including vat came to 72.49 the strut brace should be here in 2 days, and the intake parts he put them on emergency order for me they should be here within 5 7 days :-) hope he is right :D

Ha ha, funny you've opted for that, I think only me and you were considering an induction kit, and I myself made the choice last night not to bother with an induction kit and have also opted for the intake and green filter :)

dont hold your breath on the intake had mine on order since 12th October and no sign of it yet! Went in today and Barcelona have none and no expected dates!!!

What performance increases could you expect?

It aint really suprising that they are on back order. They will have enough to supply the production of the new SEAT Ibiza's, it's not really a part that is going to go wrong on the car, and I guess they havent expected to tonne of Skoda customers to turn up a SEAT dealers and order them..lol.

Seat will launch an investigation soon and trace it back all the way to briskoda :thumbup:

Regarding induction kits...

cpufreak has a dynatwist on his ibiza tdi sport (the seat equiv) and we were both on the rollers yesterday. James was saying he thinks that the induction kit was causing a bit of greif with the engine, especially low down in the rev range compared to a green-filtered car (like mine) and the dynatwist was blamed for the difference in figures, despite near identical cars, tho he had a front mount, his motor was still down on power a bit.
