it is, it is indeed ;)

Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course, but I think Mr Stephen Turvil is a waste of bandwidth who wouldn't recognise good design if it ran over him!

One of the things I like about the Yeti is that it is a simple, practical shape almost devoid of fussy detailing - much like a mini-Discovery. There is just the "floating" roof, the Skoda grille and front and rear lights to give it a distinct identity. As SUVs go, I think only the Qashqai and Land Rover models come close in terms of design - and some of the Land Rover touches like the faux-wing vents are a bit borderline. (Though they are perfectly tasteful on the XF, of course  )

Just my opinion!

Not heard of this bloke myself but obviously someone in the wrong job for their expertise; maybe better suited to being a fashion critic as he has no concept of motor vehicle functional design at it's very best.

Can't repeat what my Monster thinks :giggle:

TP

I find it hard to value the opinion of someone who doesn't know the difference between "bazaar" and "bizarre". Unless, of course, he thinks that Toyota sources parts for its cars at Persian marketplaces.

Very interesting look to it.

And that from someone who never liked the look of the "cash cow". :giggle:

It's quite frog-esque.

The Cashcow is, to me, mostly inoffensive. Not at all good looking, but so bland and obvious as to barely register.

 They surpassed Qashcow..

Appropriately named: Cashcow followed by the Jukebox

I like that a LOT!!!

certainly i think the new Mini Crossman is very ugly...but i like it as well. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpressnews/247399/mini_crossman_official_images.html

But i like cars to be different though - and not follow the same bland design just to get acceptance, Yeti is defo different looking and it's one of the many reason why i ordered it. For the same money, i'd be buying a poorly equipped VW Golf.

Do you know - its a funny thing. I can't see the front from my driving seat. So it only bothers me when I clean the lights or check the oil.

The view I do see is from the inside looking out - and I find that pretty pleasing.

I am ugly and I am proud! i think that it is ugly but that that is OK, nowt wrong with that. Functionality is the most important tang and anyway beauty is in the eye of he beholder so what does it matter. :D

My, my - Wer'e getting alomost Fairy-Taley now. First the naming Snowwhite, and here we have Beauty and the Beast :giggle:

You think TP might be OK with Little Red Riding Hood?

"How Now Brown Cow" probably won't sit well with the Muscovado brown crowd.

Muscovado brown, or unrefined brown sugar I think it safe to describe the Yeti as Sweet, well the brown ones in any case! :giggle:

Its odd that people think a car's looks are important.

If looks were important, then the original Lotus Elan must be a winner. The fact that its reliability was a bit suspect was not relevant!

My TVR Tuscan (built it myself in the days of purchase tax) was reliable 'cos I made sure that a) the bits were put together properly and b)it was based around a bog standard Ford 3ltr. V6 and off the shelf parts. The only major incident (apart from the odd crash - due to over keen driving) was a top radiator hose blew. I had to get rid as it made my fiancee car sick! Pity really

So anyone who thought a TVR was pretty was more interested in the workings rather than the looks!

This unrefined sugar goes well with coffee and other beverages.

So it will go with my Cappucino!

Always knew that as Turbinado - 1st crystallization straight off the centrifuges - but Muscovado Brown does sound better. Thanks for the insight.

One wonders if you like the ladies like you like coffee? Black and sweet?

I certainly like my women how I like my coffee.

Pale and full of sugar.

You have impeccable taste, Sir. I was seriously in love with the original Elan, droolingly so. But alas, Ford Cortina GT was the closest I could afford at the time - and I did need to carry the missus and one kid at the time too.

I have a preference for strong Earl Grey Tea with milk and no sugar. Very rarely have coffee now but would have it with added milk and no sugar. I am sweet enough :giggle: ! I do like Muscovado Sugar however and I like the Yeti colour also.

I remember the Ford Cortina GT MK1 very well with its eye ball socket air vents.
