If this is what i think it is we're doing a group buy on these soon.. Just ordered one for our demo car.

Your speedo's out, maxidot says 19 mph, needle says 20. :wonder:

Bar Steward you could have told me :'( :'( :'(

Ah well

At Auric - The speedo on any car is always out. The digital speed is coming from the can-bus so it's more accurate (well it is to me as it's less so i'll take that :) )

nice!! And I was pleased when I found out the FL has the oil temp available. Very useful information being shown

I am very tempted to get the Maxidot retro-fitted by Ben!

Ahh it's not just the Maxidot though (the car came with that from factory) it is something else i have installed that is giving me this information

Carl

So what is it then ? :envy:

so is it the normal maxidot then? Software added?.............have to say I'm rather interested in this one!

At a guess I'd say you've just installed a Fiscon Basic Plus Bluetooth unit. I seem to remember they offer this additional info via maxidot.

Tiger 72 Have a Gold Star

Yup i installed the Fiscon Basic Plus kit today.

Miles better than the parrot and i can now do everything from the MFD3 screen or the Wiper stalk

Carl

hmmm interesting, shame I order the factory fitted bluetooth then lol

......or the Wiper stalk....

So who does it call when you wash your windscreen?

I could be sarcastic their but squaddie humour generally offends :p

It's clever and unless your in the Fiscon menu then it will just work as normal.

I have mainly been using the MFD3 touchscreen anyway

I'm just jealous.......

(You'll be hard pressed to offend me - assuming the swear filter is working)

So who does it call when you wash your windscreen?

The snake called Vindscreen Viper...

The steering cowl needs dusting too btw...

Looks like a nice upgrade Carl :)

Hi guys

Waiting on my new vRS and wanting to get bluetooth installed. Having had a look around, the fiscon looks like the way to go (especialy after seeing this set up). Does anyone know of anywhere that will install this unit, including updating it with vag com? I'm in the Herts / Essex area.

Thanks

Are planning a group buy for the Fiscon hands free or the E-MFA additional gauges. If it's the E-MFA I might be interested.

How do you do that?

Steve

Hi Carl, yes mine can emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Not a Fiscon though, but the EMFA module. emoticon-0105-wink.gif

Instead of boost turned off (it wont display this, as our cars wont have the data on the CAN BUS) I have a voltmeter.

And if you have a facelift Octy and install a Fiscon unit, you don't get that additional Maxidot screen :( At least I knew before I bought it so wasn't too disappointed...

Handsfree is very impressive though and works flawlessly with my iphone and the work's Nokia (shame it doesn't have multipoint though)

Right, in words of one syllable or less..

I want my car to have what Carl's has got (no Maxidot, currently). I am not a spanner-man, or an electronics guru and I don't understand half of what's been said on this thread so far... So:

1) Who do I speak to "make it so"?

2) How much will it cost me?

Ta!
