Finally got mine sorted by Beadles at Maidstone. £90 inc. vat. Now works much better, and actually remembers settings. Good service from Beadles, too.

Good to hear it works well after the update and you managed to get a dealer to do it.  

However £90 sounds pricey.  

I understand it's their time etc, hourly rate or whatever for the time it took, but it's also something which should have been working ok from day one. 

You probably now have quite a unique bolero which works as it should.

Did you do it specifically for the bolero update, or some other issue which also sorted the bolero?

I understand it's their hourly rate (£75 plus VaT). I had the update specifically to fix the lag problem on the Bolero reading SD cards. It has fixed other issues in the Bolero too, but the SD card reading is down from minutes to under a second.
