I don't get emotionally attached to my cars, I agree that you should buy what you like, but what I wouldn't like is a dealer sucking through his teeth in 2 years time telling me that white means its worth less than blue!

In two years time, according to the dealer, the colour you have will always be less popular than any other colour available (other, perhaps, than yellow which is what i have :'( )

Prolfe, great pictures, think I am persuaded......... it saves money going for white too!

I ordered my vRS estate in Candy White after very nearly ordering Sprint Yellow  I also test-drove a Candy White with anthracite wheels, which looked cool, but I went for silver wheels with silver roof rails. It looks great.

There are a lot of VAG cars on the road (e.g. Scirroco, Audi A5 and Seat Ibiza) and they all look good. I don't think this shade will be a fad and am very pleased with mine!

Cheers

I'm pleased, although the yellow was tempting.

was fed up with black, silver and the like.

Love mine in white; get lots of positive comments from people about it, and although a few people say it's getting common most people say, "I've never seen a white one; looks really good" Promptly followed by "I bet it takes some keeping clean!" But it doesn't really, plus I enjoy cleaning mine (much to the annoyance of SWMBO :giggle:

Had a sit in one at the dealers today, would've gone out for a test drive but for it being manual and I need an auto. I decided on white for my next car a while back but, after seeing the new white one at the side of an older blue one (both VRs') I'm really undecided.

As mentioned, go for what you want, dealers will always find a way of knocking the trade in value of yours when you change so you might as well have what you want.

It does get 'a'lot' of looks and double takes. Then people look at the badge. hehe

its great that skoda is now a brand to be proud of.

Was that at Simpsons in Preston by any chance?

I was out in that white vRS CR for about 50 mins yesterday, very impressed! I like the dealerships that let you have unescorted test drives. I was there about 1130 - 1330. :)

They gave my an OK price for a new Octavia vRS too. I have had cheaper quotes but they were helpful and the second closest dealer to home, question is, is there 'helpfulness' worth £530? (thats the difference in quotes between them and Rainworth in Mansfield.)

ours on order is white too, hopefully here in a month-ish!

Peterg, I too was impressed. Paul, the sales guy that I saw, made a cuppa for my wife, whilst he gave me the keys to have a nose around the car. No pressure, he was there if I needed him and he answered all my questions when I took the key back in to him

I haven't had to deal with Simpsons as an owner but from all that I hear, all that I read on here together with all that I have experienced myself, they'll take some beating for good customer service.

I'm getting close to changing and at the moment it's between another Subaru and the Octy vRS.

I'd say yes, £530 is a price worth paying to have excellent service however, I would push the haggling as anything that you can get is in effect a freebie so try for things that when you get home you think "d'oh why didn't I ask for ....." such as mats, flaps, full tank of fuel etc.

Good luck and let me know how you get on.

It was Paul who dealt with me as well. I started my contact with Simpsons via an email, he has been spot on and as you say, no pressure and very pleasant If I go for it I have thought about what else to ask for, I would add Maxidot and MDI, I would want these discounted as well and would probably ask for the first service for free or a full tank of derv!

I ordered my candy white VRs 2 weeks ago, shame to see my race blue one go but fancy a change. Can't wait :)

I also have a candy white Octi vRS combi. Looks great.................should you go for white.................no go for blue/red/black/yellow lol :p

Nah, white's boring:

Liking that

Liking that

has a "starwars" feeling about it which is cool.

I'm toying with the idea of a VRS estate to replace my Leon FR.

I normally go for Black where possible, but I saw this in a dealers B)

All it needs is black wheels & grill surround & it would be perfect for me
