You are doing it right! The big Skoda Octavia II picture thread!

Featured Replies

Lovely picture Nobafett, any chance of other pics of your car from different angles?

Thinking of an Octavia estate, unsure on colours and whether to go for silver rails and looks like you have sunset glass(?).

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, treated myself to a dslr yesterday so decided to try it out today. Not overly happy with the other pics but will put a few up. Got the windows tinted the other day and think it really improves the overall look.

Nice one, thanks very much.

Two front runners colour wise for me is brilliant silver (take it that is what you have) and also white - missus does not like white "looks like a work van", hmmm.

Did you think about the silver roof rails?, or would that have been too much silver?

Colleague has a petrol vRS, fantastic car but he is starting to moan about economy, and this is starting to concern me especially with petrol at 120ppl.

Many thanks.

Thanks again. There is only one silver colour for the VRS, not sure of the name but think you could be right. Personally, I dont like silver rails on a silver car, like you said, too much silver. The black contrasts nicely.

The economy is quite good and not that much worse that the PD Vrs I had previously (if driven carefully!). Too be honest though, the petrol engine is so much nicer that the positives outway the negatives, (cant comment on the newer CR diesel though). When remapped, positively flies too :D

Part of me is starting to wish I'd bought an estate. Yours looks gorgeous Nobafett :D

Yep, have to agree, your Octy looks fab, Nobafett. Love the discrete badging on the rear. Beginning to wonder whether i should have chosen the badge delete option.

Have to say I'm a fan of the originals on a pre-facelift car emoticon-0144-nod.gif

Sorry Brimma but I genuinly think the "Octavia" font on the pre FL is cack - the worst looking badge I've ever seen. Of course this is my humble opinionemoticon-0140-rofl.gif

The FL badges look much classier IMHO but are bleedin expensive for what they are!!

I just wash mine weekly, sometimes a little longer, with a spitz of nxt / uqd quick detail spray after every other wash.

As above. Also recently spent 17 hrs over 3 days giving the car a full detail. Means that for the next 12 months or so, the car will be much easier and quicker to keep in the condition seen in the pictures I posted. Worth the effort in the long run.

Some serrious nice motor's in here and also some shockers............... :o

Thanks to Alan and Malc for the posts............

This thread has gone a bit awry. It started as a thread to post tastefully modified cars in (hence the "You are doing it right"), but now it's getting a bit full of pics of identical standard cars. No offence, just a bit samey.
