Well, got some insurance quotes and they are ridiculous anyway, not paying £3-400 quid more for a car that is slower!

The convertible Astra's are heavier that the standard Astra. Personally I wouldn't bother with a convertible one. I like Vauxhall's always have but if I buy another one it would have to be a VXR or maybe a 1.6/2.0T SRI. I test drove a few new Astra's the other day. Both the 1.4 and the 1.6 were both dogs and the 1.8 was OK, pretty forgettable.

Just keep the VRS and fix the niggles
