Had to larf!

Skoda say you need 5 parts to have the glasses holder.. Cost £30.80..... Not too bad considering but wait for it, An additional £50 to fit!!!!!!!!!

Makes Audi seem cheap!!! :D .......almost

Wish I could get a bigger one for my A4, the factory one is so small you would have trouble fitting a packet of Polos in it

Sorry to bump this after so long.  Has anyone found the part number for the darker version that will match the VRS headlining?

That is the same part number that I have on the invoice for the one I ordered for my vRS 2yrs back. No problems with the fit or the colour match. I got it via a dealer who had the reg number so could check things on the Skoda system. The sensor bar attaches to the sunglass holder panel, pretty easy job, only took a few minutes to swap over as I remember.

Many thanks. Have now found one on Fleabay but £25 seems a bit steep. I'll pop in to my local Skoda place and see what they quote.

Would you mind reporting back with how much they quote? I want one for mine but i too cant justify £25 on one, so im curious as to what theyll say :)

Will do but I can't guarantee when I'll get a chance to skive off work early to pop in and see them.

When I ordered mine the issue I had was availability, there were only a couple showing up on the skoda system in the UK at that point (or so the dealer claimed, didn't make any difference to price though).

Quick search of the official online parts stores shows a price of £17ish plus p&p but they aren't showing the correct colour. Best bet is call your dealer and get them to look up the system.

Just picked it up and fitted it.  Cost was £14.87 + VAT.  Time to fit was around 25 seconds.  It would have been quicker but it was dark.

Told you it was easy.  I find it probably the best mod for the money that I have done.

As this has been resurrected… One of my students told me his mum"s Fabia is minus the glasses holder and he thought it was a great addition. When I mentioned how small the cost was and how simple to fit it is, I think he is gonna persuade her to buy one!

Much better than reaching over to my glovebox at 70mph to get my sunnies!! :)

£18 including VAT and one bent back thumb nail (unclipping the sensors) :( ...

But Worth it!!  B)

Funny thing is it's considerably more that £18 to have as a factory option!

Cos they gotta employ a worker to get it from the parts shelf and fit it, all of three minutes work, at 6 euro an hour, THEN, add on dealers mark up, (£75 an hour)! Most honest dealers bill by the half hour, not so honest, by the hour!

Just need to find a dealer that charges by the 5 minutes!! :D :D

1, Whipping out the Blanking Plate - 10 seconds

2, Unclipping the Alarm Sensors* - 2 minutes (and one bent back thumb nail... lots of swearing!)

3, Unpacking new shiny Sunglasses Holder - 10 seconds

4, Clipping the Alarm Sensors* in - 20 seconds

5, Clipping the Holder into the Headlining - 10 seconds

So for cars With Alarm Sensors* = 2 minutes 50 seconds (and one poorly thumb)

for cars Without Alarm Sensors = 30 seconds!

Job Jobbed!! Looks Wicked!!... Saves swerving all over the road whilst trying to fish out you sunnies!!  B)

Thanks. Very Good information.

I picked up mine last night from my local Skoda dealer. Same price (just under £18). The black one for my vRS is part number 1Z0868565F47H. Reasonably straightforward to fit (10 minute job to get it to seat in the headlining correctly).
