If you have the roof rails then any bars and a canoe carrier (Thule etc) should be fine. If you haven't got roof rails you could be in trouble as, unless things have changed recently, there are no roof racks available to fit a Roomster without the rails.

AFAIK, you can get the rails fitted but it's an expensive job.

Just be careful with the weight of it.

Slight resurrection of the thread, but just to warn you, the roof rails on the Roomster make the standard Thule roof bars look slightly worrying; the feet clamps pull away from the bars as you tighten them. Also, because the rails are curved, the bars dont sit straight. Having said that, I have done a lot of miles with the rack on and kayaks strapped down and (touch wood) I havent had any problems yet. I also have upright pillars on it, although that shouldnt make much difference. I generally have about 60kg on the roof, which is getting quite close to the limit and have had a 32Kg "Canadian" canoe on there as well and it was fine.
