How long is it usually before Skoda give a build date, orderd a car 2 weeks ago but the dealer still hasnt been given a date

Ordered a month ago and not heard a peep !

Deposit has appeared on my credit card statement though.

Hope you hear soon. There always seems to be a sort of time warp that occurs just after you place the order such that any normally short interval seems to become incredibly long . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I ordered last week, got a call today to say that 'computer says' week 16 build for mine - thats w/c 16 Apr. Delivery some time in the first half of May! Lady did say that sometimes the build date does come forward by up to two weeks, she will call again next week to let me know if it has changed.

When exactly have you ordered yours? What's the spec and engine? I ordered mine on Wednesday last week, 1.4 TSI DSG Elegance. No call from a dealer. it would be interesting, though, to see if the build week and delivery date are similar. Ordered through a dealer in Belfast.

Ordered same day - 17 Feb. Mine is a Candy White CR vRS Hatchback with Maxidot, spare wheel, MDI and rear parking sensors. Ordered through Horton's of Lincoln, via a broker

I ordered mine last tuesday, 16th Feb and its an Anthracite, 2.0TDI Elegance, with Towbar, and Multifunction steering wheel with maxidot.

Well you're doing a bit better than me. I ordered a Scout on 26th Jan. I just followed it up today and I am being given a tentative build date of week 14 with delivery sometime in the first half of May. That is a lot later than I expected and I'm now wondering if there was a delay in sending my order through.

I suspect they may well build some of these right hand drive cars in batches (vRS/Scout/Elegance), whic would explain the disparity in some of the order/build/delivery dates.

My dealer never told me my build date.

I rang them in December, they didnt know

When I ordered it in mid November, they told me mid February for delivery to the dealer.

It came in mid Jan!!

So i got them to store it till March as was originally arranged with the salesman..who has now left!

I get it on Monday

I just followed it up today and I am being given a tentative build date of week 14 with delivery sometime in the first half of May. That is a lot later than I expected and I'm now wondering if there was a delay in sending my order through.

Order for Scout entered on Skoda's system 15 February and immediate provisional build date of week 16 came back, so that's pretty much in line with your experience.

I ordered mine in october and have to say unless you do the leg work and go to or call the deeler yourself you wont hear a word, call them or go in and they tell you when its build date is and if its been built where it is what ship its due on even which section its parked in!! but they didnt call me once in the three months i waited, the only call i got was to say its hear when can you come and pick it up. I have never brought a new car before not sure i was expecting bells and whistles but was expecting the odd phone call at the very least. ...... have to say the car is worth the wait though

I ordered mine 30/01/2010 so dealer would have ordered it 01/02/2010 as 30th of jan was a saturday I never got a build date but I have a delivery date of week 13 that is the last week or March first week of April.

Dealer just phoned to say they would have it by 28/03/2010

So a month to hear from the dealer and 2 months to wait for the car.

Got a month to sort out insurance, payment of balance and get the Pug on AutoTrader !

I ordered my CR 1.6 estate with curtain air bags on 8th October 2009.

Was finally built in January, and am still waiting for delivery almost 2 months later to Northern Ireland.

Ordered a red vRS 3 weeks ago. Dealer phoned yesterday to say it's a week 15 build with delivery end April.
